PROMPT OF THE WEEK

Boom! Your 4th of July Prompt Is Here

Here’s how to write a fun, casual 4th of July social media post that promotes a flash sale without sounding pushy. Use this structure as your template:

“This weekend’s about [emotion or theme — e.g., freedom, fun, fireworks]
but let’s be real, it’s also the perfect excuse to treat yourself. 🎆 I’m running a quick [discount or offer] on [product or collection] — just for the holiday! Grab it before [urgency — e.g., the grill cools down / the fireworks fade]. đŸ”„ [CTA — link in bio, DM me, etc.]”

Example:

“This weekend’s about freedom and fun
but let’s be real, it’s also the perfect excuse to treat yourself. 🎆 I’m running a quick 20% off flash sale on all summer candles — just for the 4th! Grab yours before the fireworks fade. đŸ”„ Link in bio!”

Swap in your info and see what happens. Let me know the results.

BEHIND THE PROMPT

Don’t Just Slap Up a “Happy 4th!” Post and Hope it Works!

Right now, 87% of Americans are planning to celebrate the 4th of July and 94% intend to spend, averaging $90 each. Over half of those purchases happen via mobile phones and social media. That means your social media images, videos, reels and stories are where the money is this week.

Let me help you prep 7 days of holiday content in under an hour so you can actually make those sales.  Because this week, your content is your cash register  and I’m going to help you open it.

BEYOND THE SCROLL

How to Create 7 Days of Holiday Sales Content Without Burning Out

Can I let you in on a secret?

The most engagement I’ve ever gotten on social media didn’t come from fancy graphics or trendy Reels.

It came from a Mother’s Day post.
Holiday content just hits differently and it's one of the easiest ways to boost visibility and drive sales, even if your audience is quiet or small.

Why?

Because during holidays, people are already in a celebratory, buying mood.
Your content doesn’t have to work as hard.  It just has to show up.

Holidays = big sales potential. But if you’re like most business owners, here’s what usually happens:

🎆 You want to post something festive
📅 You forget until the day of
đŸ˜© You scramble to post
💾 You make little or no sales

Let’s flip that script.

But before we dive into how to create your holiday content, let’s talk about why this moment matters. Fourth of July might feel like a fun break from business as usual, but it’s actually one of the most powerful sales windows of the year — even for small businesses. If you’ve ever felt like your content doesn’t “land” or your timing is off, this is your chance to change that.

And the numbers don’t lie: people are in a spending mood, and social media is where they’re making their decisions. Stats have shown that people actively look for holiday sales and hold off buying until the holiday for that reason.  Also people spend more time online during holidays scrolling, watching entertaining content and other stuff.

So, let’s break down what’s really happening behind the scenes and why this week is the perfect time to show up.

  1. Everyone's Celebrating and Almost Everyone’s Buying

The Fourth of July isn’t just about fireworks and cookouts.  It’s one of the most widely celebrated holidays in the U.S., with 87% of Americans planning to participate. Even more impressive? A staggering 94% of those celebrators plan to spend money, whether it’s on party supplies, food, outfits, or impulse buys tied to the season. That means nearly every follower scrolling your feed this week is in a buying mindset. The opportunity? You don’t need a massive audience to make sales, just the right message at the right moment.

  1. Most Sales Happen on Mobile and Social Media Drives Them

Here’s the part a lot of small business owners miss:

  • over 51% of online purchases during the Fourth of July sales window happen on mobile, and

  • more than 45% of buyers say social media directly influences their holiday purchases.

That means your posts, your Stories, and yes, even your DMs, matter more than your storefront or Shopify site. If your content connects, you’re just one tap away from a sale. But if your feed is silent or your captions sound forced, you’ll get scrolled past — even by people ready to buy.

  1. People Shop Last-Minute (Which Makes Content Timing Critical)

Most shoppers don’t plan ahead of time. In fact, a third of holiday buyers make their purchasing decisions just 1–2 weeks before the Fourth. That means now is your moment. If you can show up with holiday-themed, relevant content that makes people stop and say “Oh, I need this,” or “that’s cute,” you’ll catch those sales that would’ve otherwise gone to Amazon or Target. But waiting too long or posting generic, bland content means you’ll miss the window completely.

  1. Inflation is Real but People Still Celebrate

Even with the rising cost of living, most Americans still plan to celebrate and spend. They're just more intentional about how. People are actively looking for fast, simple, no-stress solutions that make their lives easier. That’s why educational, helpful, and feel-good content performs so well during the holidays. If your post helps someone solve a problem or brings joy with minimal effort? You win. The sale doesn’t always go to the brand with the biggest budget. It goes to the one that makes the decision easy.

So before you throw up another fireworks emoji and call it a day, check out the 3-step process I teach (and use myself) to make holiday content easier, faster, and more profitable using AI:

đŸ”„ Step 1: Choose a Simple Theme

Before you open ChatGPT, get clear on your message. Most people skip this step and wonder why their content feels random.

Instead, pick one core theme for your week that ties into both the holiday and your product’s transformation.

Here are a few Fourth of July–ready themes you can use:

  • Freedom – from stress, burnout, clutter, confusion, or whatever your customer’s pain point is

  • Celebration – of your audience, your product, your business wins

  • Last Chance or Flash Sale – urgency tied to the holiday timeline, great for physical products like apparel, etc.

  • Fresh Start – tie the new month or quarter to your product’s results, great for information businesses

💡 Example: If you sell self-care products, your theme could be “freedom from burnout.”

Once you’ve picked a theme, every post for the week will support that so your content feels connected instead of chaotic.

đŸ€– Step 2: Use AI to Generate Holiday-Themed Posts Fast

Now that you’ve got a theme, it’s time to put AI to work.

Instead of starting from scratch every time, use ChatGPT to help generate holiday-relevant, on-brand content based on your theme. You can prompt it to create:

  • Promotional captions

  • Educational tips

  • Fun facts or engagement questions

  • Reels scripts

  • Holiday memes or lighthearted posts

📆 Step 3: Schedule & Simplify

Here’s where most business owners get stuck: they create great content but never actually post it because they overthink or forget. Don’t let your hard work die in your drafts.

Once you’ve created 5–7 posts using your AI prompts, batch them into a content calendar. Then:

  • Use a scheduler like Later, Metricool, or Planoly

  • Or just drop them into your Notes app and copy/paste each day

And contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to post every single day.  That’s a trap!  You need to post just enough to stay visible while your audience is already shopping.

Relax. Relate. Release.

After you’ve completed this step, you’re done!  Block off about 45 minutes to create the posts and schedule them.  That’s how you stay visible, relevant, and free from last-minute content panic.

The best part? When your content is planned and scheduled, you can actually enjoy the holiday. No more rushing to post from your phone between BBQ bites or trying to write captions while fireworks are going off. With just a little prep (and the right AI prompts), your content will be working for you — so you can step away, relax, and still make sales in the background.

SCROLL-STOPPING TAKEAWAY

🎇 This 4th of July, your audience is already in the mood to celebrate and spend  but only if they see your offer in time.

📉 Last-minute posts = missed sales.

P.S. - This week was full of dance recitals, games and celebrations.  So I didn't have much time to watch TV. But I did catch a few episodes of “Half + Half”.  I never watched it when it was actually on TV.  But watching it now is so nostalgic.

Have you ever seen that show?
