PROMPT OF THE WEEK
Need to make sales but don’t have inventory?
This week’s prompt is perfect for ecommerce sellers who want to create something digital, giftable, and ready right now — even if you’re starting from zero.
Try this:
“I have an ecommerce business selling [insert products]. Give me 5 digital product ideas I could sell for Mother’s Day. Include ideas that require no shipping and can be delivered instantly.”
Why it works:
It gives ChatGPT the context it needs and limits the results to low-effort, high-reward options you can launch today.
Try it, tweak it, and list it.
Mother’s Day shoppers are out there — and they’re buying now.

BEYOND THE SCROLL
How AI Can Help You Cash In On Mother’s Day - Even If You Started Late or Don’t Have a Product
As ecommerce entreprenuers, we normally get hyped for Q4, Black Friday and Christmas. And rightfully so because that time period brings in a LOT of sales. But guess what?
Mother’s Day is one of the biggest retail weekends of the year. But sadly, it’s one of the most underestimated sales opportunities in ecommerce and one of the easiest to miss if you’re not prepared.
In 2023, U.S. consumers spent over $35 billion on gifts, experiences, eating out and special purchases for Mother’s Day. And yes, I said billion with a B!
And what are they buying? Everything from jewelry and skincare to digital gifts, printables, and thoughtful notes. That makes Mother’s Day a huge opportunity for ecommerce store owners — especially those selling anything remotely thoughtful, useful, or giftable.
So even if you didn’t plan ahead or are new to the ecommerce game, there’s still time to show up and cash in. Last-minute shoppers are real, and they’re looking for options right now. Translation: You don’t need a huge store, inventory, or months of prep. You just need the right offer, right now.
And that’s where AI comes in
Let AI Be Your Secret Weapon
If you’re scrambling to pull together emails, product descriptions, or social media posts in time — let AI take the wheel. ChatGPT can help you create a last-minute sales campaign in minutes: captions that sound sincere (not cheesy or salesy), gift guides tailored to your inventory, and email sequences that convert. You don’t need a big team or fancy tools. You just need a clear offer, a little empathy, and the right ChatGPT prompt. That’s how you stay in the game even if you started a little late.
Let’s break it down.
This holiday is:
Emotionally driven: People want to express love, gratitude, and connection.
Last-minute friendly: Many shoppers forget until the week of (or weekend of) and need fast options.
Open to physical and digital products: People are used to giving and receiving digital products like ebooks, music, ebooks, gift cards and more. And it’s a great way to give a gift when shipping deadlines have passed.
And here’s something most sellers overlook: Mother’s Day purchases are usually gifts — not impulse buys for the shopper. That means customers are less likely to return them. When someone buys for a loved one, they’re more committed to the purchase and far less likely to second-guess it later. Fewer refunds = happier sellers.
For ecommerce sellers, this creates a golden opportunity to use AI, create quickly and get sales.
“But I Don’t Have a Product to Sell…”
No problem. If you are new to this or don’t have any physical inventory, here are a few last-minute Mother’s Day product ideas you can create in minutes with AI. You can also add these digital products as a bonus or add-on to a physical product.
Digital Product Ideas:
Mother’s Day Printables: Cards, coupons, memory books, "10 Things I Love About You" templates sell for under $10.
PDF Gift Guides: People love reading gift guides. It’s a quick and easy way for people to shop. Create a guide showcasing products and/or digital tools for moms. Even if you don’t sell all the products featured, you can collect affiliate income if someone makes a sale from your recommendation.
Self-Care Kits: Taking care of self is all the rage now. Tap into that. You can bundle journal pages, affirmations, and habit trackers into a calming, mom-friendly PDF to sell.
If you’re on Etsy or Shopify, you can literally have a digital product created, listed, and promoted within 24–48 hours. Can you say cha-ching?!
For Physical Product Sellers: Keep It Simple
If you already have inventory — focus on what feels like a gift.
Ask yourself:
What product would make a tired mom smile?
What solves a problem for a busy woman?
What can be positioned as “thoughtful,” “practical,” or “luxurious”?
You don’t need to launch a new collection — just reframe what you already have.
Then, let AI handle the writing.
And you can add a digital product as a bonus. Think.. “free printable note included if you purchase by midnight!”.
What If You Sell Something… Less Giftable?
Maybe you sell dog gear. Or planners. Or coffee accessories. That’s fine. You just need a little creativity and empathy. I suggest telling ChatGPT all of the products you sell and asking it to suggest Mother’s Day gift ideas and bundles.
You might be surprised with what ChatGPT tells you because there are probably lots of moms out there who live on coffee and would love a coffee gift basket. Or there might be someone special in your life that is a dog mom who you can gift dog gear.
The bottom line is, don’t count yourself out if you don’t sell typical Mother’s Day products and gifts. You still can get a slice of that $35 billion pie.
The Real Power of AI? Speed.
Whether you’re late to the game, new to the game or not sure what to offer, AI helps you move from stuck to sale — fast!
